I recently moved in with John and now we're just two guys winding down in Saigon after a hard's day of work reminiscing about home. We got even more homesick when they refused to make a pizza with pineapple and pepperoni for us. I guess they don't eat such a "weird" combination yet they put seafood and ketchup on their pizzas. At least the pizzas tasted almost identical to the Pizza Hut at home. Then again, it's been so long, I don't remember what pizza tasted like.
Hey John and Kyle!If you guys have time then try the pizza with asian twist at the restaurant called 4P`s on le thanh ton street,district 1!In additon to traditional pizza,they have modern asian versions which use unconventional vietnamese sauces,seeweed,vietnamese fresh vegetable flowers and other local vietnamese ingredients such as shrip,pork,beef anf fish!It is delicious!
ReplyDeleteWhat are these unconventional vietnamese sauces that you're talking about? Surprising, the worst pizza that I ever had wasn't from Vietnam (squid and fish, it was awful), it was actually from California Pizza Kitchen, the Peking Duck Pizza, which consisted of hoisin sauce instead of tomato sauce...almost threw up that day.

DeleteKyle, you have been gone from the USA for too long or had some really bad Pizza Hut pizza. Those two pizza's do not look like Pizza Hut quality pizza. My son has had a lot of the Pizza Hut pizza! At least you say that they tasted good. This is the most important part anyway. I tried a Dominoes pizza once with anchovies on it, with a Japanese friend and I did not care for it very much. Each to their own. :)
